Competition, the Hunt, Independence, and Survival
Also known as the Lone Wolf, Jagor Chase is a god that is constantly struggling. He sees competition as a necessity to survival and independence. He is neither good nor evil and is often very serious, but sometimes portrayed as a selfish and negligent god. He will offer words of encouragement to those that lose the will to survive and can supportive of others in a struggle. He does not take competition lightly, and will attempt to ensure his success as soon as possible, rather than delaying for any enjoyment that might arise from the competition itself. When forced into a situation of Fight or Flight, he and his followers are almost always going to Fight.
Jagor's followers come from all walks of life, and they request intervention in all matters of life. From simple tests of will and endurance, to legitimate struggles for freedom and their independence. Those that devote their lives to him, have more than likely be enslaved, imprisoned, or have been on the verge of death and have personally seen Etrion's Hood.
"Independence is born in competition." "The hunt is a competition for survival." "When you choose to survive, there are no rules."
Common Phrases used by Followers of Jagor Chase
Attacks that would go directly against Jagor are few and far between. Most know better than to back a Lone Wolf into a corner. Devils and Slavers will naturally consider his followers to be direct threats and exercise extreme caution against them.
Jagor Chase is believed to have no grand ambitions, and merely wishes to live a life of freedom. This has kept him ungrounded throughout his life. It is believed that he is currently bound by an Oath to Vorsh Korr for some event that is lost to history. It may be that his most pressing goal is to find some way to fulfill this Oath so that he may be truely independent once more.
Unlike his sister, Fara Caimon, Jagor did not found the Free League for the betterment of others. He instead founded it in order to alleviate some of the perceived responsibility.
The Free League is an expansive group of followers of Jagor Chase and his son Wundary Trayvel, founded with the purpose of taking up arms to free those they feel are unjustly enslaved or imprisoned. Those freed, tend to join the ranks of these dedicated followers and become a member of the Free League.
At the edge of the world we roam, and beyond the horizon lies our home. From under the pale moon we moan, "We are free from chain and throne."
Mantra of the Free League
Jagor's Holy Temples are often quite plain and provide food, simple clothing, and shelter to those in need. They offer sanctuary to any escaped slaves and will sometimes provide unlawful assistance to those they feel have been unjustly imprisoned. Acolytes of the temple will also spend time teaching basic survival skills to those who need it.
The Wolf's Edge The Wolf's Edge is a small dagger than has been imbued with a special Bane property that is more harmful to anyone that would attempt to enslave, imprison, detain, or restrain the wielder.
League Key League Keys are special low tier magical artifacts that take the shape of a regular key, but have the ability to emulate any shape and/or property needed to unlock a mechanism. These are typically found on the more prominent members of the Free League, regardless of their alignment.
